Last updated: March 28thIt is getting easier...

We are getting fitter by the climb, every Sunday a small group of us have been training at the steps in Scarborough. With each session, doing the stairs 10 times is a little easier and a little less painful. Karen, Jay, Pete, Michelle, Remy, Jarrad and Jenni and I are learning just how important it is to get the climbing happening well before the day. Leisa even managed a bit of a climb last week fresh off the plane from Sydney! Thanks everyone for the support, it is now time to register if you would like to join the Jelly Legs team. Just register as an individual and let us know and we will have you added to our team. Keep Climbing!

We are now training on the following Sundays at 9am, the venue will be 5 Joyce St Scarborough...

If there is anyone that wants to train over the Easter break, please let me know as I will be happy to do so. We will have 'team bonding' refreshments afterwards!

There have been some issues with being able to join the "Jellylegs" team. If you have found it hard to join the team, please start another "Jellylegs" team, just give it a number. We are going to organise T-Shirts to wear on the day.

The participants on the day are sent of to climb the stairs in groups, or teams, of 4. That seems to be the issue with not being able to join the original JL team. We will make sure we are all together on the day and will go up in groups of 4. Keep trying, let Leisa know if you are having trouble joining in or donating.

Thanks Everyone, we really appreciate your efforts!

HI Welcome to our team page! Our family has decided to raise money for a wonderful organisation, the MS Society. This organisation helps with it's members to deal with MS. MS affects every aspect the sufferer and their family's life. Come and join us for a climb that may be a little daunting but is achievable. The view at the top of the Ennerflex building is amazing according to Jarrad who made the climb last year. Jarrad raised almost $1000 dollars last year and I am sure that, together, we can beat that total this year.

Let's all pitch in to assist the MS society to help people with MS cope with the many challenges they face. I think that the 'jelly' legs and fatigue we will feel temporarily will help us to understand just a little how MS feels for some people.

We will have a training session at Jacob's ladder on  Sunday afternoon in a couple of weeks and I will let everyone know when that will be via Facebook and email. So join our team, get a couple of sponsors and lets have fun while we do a GOOD thing!

I am taking part in the 2012 Step Up for MS in order to raise funds for Western Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 18,000 Australians.

Did you know?

* The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 20-40 years

* MS affects three times as many women as men

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (MSWA) aims to minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affected by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community, by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MSWA's goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.

Please DONATE by clicking on the button to the right and help MSWA support Western Australians affected by multiple sclerosis.
